Hi! I’m Sammi — a proud and very busy mom of six!

SammiCakes & Cookies was born in the heart of the 2020 pandemic. A lifelong hobby baker, I found myself furloughed from my dream job at Walt Disney World just as I was preparing to welcome a new baby.

 

With a growing family, no income, and a world full of uncertainty, I turned to something that brought me comfort and joy — baking.

​

I stocked up on baking essentials (yes, the giant warehouse bags!) and began filling our freezer with homemade muffins, breads, and what would eventually become our now-viral cinnamon rolls.

 

I started sharing my creations online, and soon, custom orders began pouring in — cookies, cupcakes, birthday cakes, and more.

 

Thanks to incredible word-of-mouth support, what started as a way to care for my family turned into a full-fledged business.

 

Today, I’m so grateful to be doing what I love while staying home with my children and building a sweet life — literally and figuratively.

• BOXX’D by SammiCakes – private chef services for Orlando-area vacation rentals and resorts, offering themed meals, high tea, charcuterie boxes, breakfast boxes with protein options, and more!

Beyond baking, giving back is a huge part of our mission. I started the Sammi Shares Project, a fund that provides free treats to families with critically ill children visiting Disney World — a small gesture to help make magical memories during challenging times. 

 

As of 1/1/26, we are expanding our project to include free birthday cakes to children with SNAP benefits since a store-bought birthday cake will no longer be a covered benefit.

Our story is still unfolding, and I’m incredibly excited about what the future holds. To our amazing supporters: thank you from the bottom of my heart.
